Our Management Development Associate Program is thoughtfully designed with three distinct phases to ensure a comprehensive and intentional learning experience for participants. Each phase is strategically crafted to provide a progressive and structured approach to the development journey. Learn more about each phase by clicking on the tabs below.

Duration: Approximately 6 months
Purpose: This phase allows you to demonstrate a self-managed understanding of the organization and operation. You’ll acquire knowledge and understanding of the organization’s structure, existing operations, and processes. At the end of Phase I, you will submit a detailed report and can present learning objectives to members of the Factory Leadership Team (FLT).

Duration: May vary by plant, business needs, and MDA performance and development.
Purpose: This phase is designed to provide you with the opportunity to learn and manage processes within your respective department, develop the technical and management skills necessary to be a member of the leadership team, and begin developing a Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) continuous improvement mindset.

Duration: May vary for each MDA based upon business needs, MDA work performance, and development.
Purpose: As an extension of Phase II, you should continue to review assignments and project/learning objectives with your reporting Department Manager. Work assignments and job responsibilities will typically increase in scope and complexity in Phase III. You will transition from the ‘All Employee’ level of the NLF and begin focusing on expanding your competencies with the ‘Leaders’ level of the Nestlé Leadership Framework (NLF).
You’ll relocate to manufacturing facilities across the country during your time in the program and discover each facility’s unique community, products, and processes. Our starting factory locations include:
