What’s one thing you admire most about each other?
Megan:
Jenna is incredibly smart, courageous, authentic, and kind! She brings such genuine passion to her work every day that I admire greatly.
Jenna:
Megan possesses a calming and comforting presence that encourages everyone around her to share their ideas freely. Her support throughout the process, coupled with her role as the voice of reason, inspires me to push boundaries without fear. This has motivated me to become a better listener, as no one makes you feel as genuinely heard and valued as Megan does.
How has working together helped you both grow — whether it’s professionally, personally, or even in the way you approach challenges?
Megan:
Working with Jenna has inspired me to bring my true self to work, know my strengths, and advocate for myself. I can always count on her to support me in my goals, which empowers me to take risks and be more confident in the workplace!
Jenna:
Megan brings immense care and joy to those around her, whether they are friends, coworkers, or even strangers. She takes the time to learn people’s names and connect with them on a personal level. This has reminded me to stay present and ensure that those around me feel seen and valued in the little moments throughout the day.
In a fast-paced work environment, we all need a strong support system. Can you share a moment when you felt truly supported by each other, and how that made a difference?
Megan:
Jenna supports me not only professionally but personally, too. When I lost a family member last year, Jenna sent me flowers when I was out and made sure to check in on me regularly when I came back to the office.
Jenna:
I can always count on her to support me in my goals, which empowers me to take risks and be more confident in the workplace! We all experience moments of self-doubt and imposter syndrome. Megan consistently reminds me of my strengths and abilities, providing the support I need to overcome these challenges.
We all bring different strengths to the table. What’s something unique that you’ve learned from each other that has changed the way you work?
Megan:
Jenna puts her all into everything she does. Whether it’s talking with candidates in her immediate role, participating in the iGen Employee Resource Group, or volunteering for the Emergency Taskforce, she always gives 100%. She inspires me to get involved in the organization beyond our team and take advantage of the opportunity to learn from everyone I meet!
Jenna:
Megan's willingness to push boundaries and try new things has encouraged me to be more creative. Megan’s dedication to work-life balance and mental well-being has taught me the importance of listening to my own needs. To truly excel, we must take care of ourselves. Inspired by Megan, I now incorporate occasional breaks into my schedule to recharge, ensuring I can bring my best self to work.
If you could give one piece of advice to other women about finding and fostering strong workplace relationships, what would it be?
Megan:
Don’t be afraid to ask women to chat who have qualities you admire and look up to – this creates the chance to learn from their stories and connect on both a professional and personal level!
Jenna:
Seek out individuals whose actions you admire and make an effort to introduce yourself or say hello. Building connections through small interactions can lead to strong partnerships and even friendships. I’ve found that too often these days we coexist around coworkers that we have never really talked to, so I make it a point to introduce myself to new faces and get to know them. A lot of these moments have led to cherished friendships, mentorships and strong partnerships within our roles.
How has your partnership opened new career opportunities or helped you take on new challenges?
Megan:
Due to Jenna’s outgoing and friendly personality, she knows countless people within Nestlé. If I ever want to be connected with someone new, Jenna is the first person I’d go to for help and would encourage me to be bold!
Jenna:
Megan’s willingness to push boundaries and try new things in marketing our roles to Gen Z candidates has encouraged me to be more creative. Our partnership is built on mutual support, challenge, and the use of data to bring new ideas to life. For instance, Megan and I collaborated on a project to develop more social content incorporating summer interns, co-ops, and trainees. Her innovative approach and unwavering support gave me the confidence to jump right into the creative process, resulting in many successful Tik Tok videos in partnership with our Communications team and promotional materials that significantly increased our engagement across our channels and open roles!
